Sustainable Food System
The best place to start accelerating our sustainability efforts is right at the beginning of our value chain, at farm level. By promoting sustainable farming practices, we avoid land degradation, preserve water resources, foster biodiversity, redress social inequalities, create safe working places, improve animal welfare, and more. Moreover, we prioritize the highest quality and food safety standards at every step—from design and development to sourcing, manufacturing, distribution, and final delivery. This is how we contribute to establishing a sustainable food system.
Environmental impact
About 25% of all human-caused greenhouse gas emissions are linked to food. At Solina, we’re taking responsibility for the impact we have on our entire value chain. To demonstrate this, we have signed our commitment to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi).
Innovations & Solutions
There is a clear connection between the food we eat, our personal health, and its impact on the environment. That is why Solina wants to be the partner of choice when it comes to developing tastier, more nutritional and more sustainable food solutions. To do so, we focus on better nutrition, more plant-based options and less food waste. At the same time, we ensure those food solutions are sustainably packaged.
