Solina acquires Pan di Vico to accelerate growth in coatings and strengthen its position in Italy

The acquisition expands Solina’s expertise in breadcrumbs, coatings and customized solutions while strengthening its presence in one of Europe’s largest food markets.

The acquisition strengthens Solina’s capabilities in coatings while reinforcing its presence in Italy. Following the acquisitions of MTA and Phenofarm in 2024 and 2025, Pan di Vico marks another important step in Solina’s ambition to become one of Italy’s leading partners for savory ingredients and customized food solutions. The company manufactures a broad portfolio of conventional, organic and specialty breadcrumbs that, combined with Solina’s expertise, expands its offering across coating systems, batters, tempuras, panko, gluten-free solutions and customized blends tailored to evolving customer needs.

“Pan di Vico brings deep expertise, strong customer relationships and a highly skilled team,” said Geert Verhelst, Regional CEO of Solina (EMEA). “Its capabilities complement our existing strengths and enhance our ability to help customers create differentiated products, solve technical challenges and bring new ideas to market.”

“We are delighted to welcome Pan di Vico to Solina,” said Rodolphe Pierre, Managing Director of Solina South Europe. “Together with MTA and Phenofarm, Pan di Vico strengthens our presence in Italy and allows us to support customers with an even broader range of coatings and savory solutions. It is another important step in building a stronger local organization.”

“We are excited to join Solina and begin this next chapter,” said Luca Degl’Innocenti, on behalf of the Pan di Vico leadership team. “What attracted us to Solina was a shared belief in staying close to customers and solving challenges together. Together, we see exciting opportunities for our customers, our people and the future of the business.”

The Pan di Vico leadership team will remain involved in the business, ensuring continuity for customers and employees while supporting the company’s continued development.
