Our suppliers find their way to EcoVadis or Sedex
100% of Solina’s strategic and preferred suppliers in the EMEA region are on EcoVadis or Sedex.
55% of Solina’s strategic and preferred suppliers in North America are on EcoVadis or Sedex.
Moving the needle on high-impact raw material categories
By 2030, we aim to achieve 100% sustainable sourcing of our four high-impact raw materials: starches, flour, animal protein, and spices. In 2024, we made the most significant progress with starches, up to 27%. Through close collaboration with a major global starch supplier, we successfully transitioned to sustainably sourced starch products. This proactive partnership not only advanced our own sustainability goals but also encouraged other suppliers to take similar steps—demonstrating a shared commitment to investing in sustainable materials, even ahead of direct customer demand.
Closing in on 100% certified palm oil
Almost all our sites are already strictly using certified palm oil, conforming with the Roundtable of Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). We plan to phase out all uncertified palm oil in our operations by the end of 2025.

“Solina has been a member of the Sustainable Spices Initiative (SSI) since 2018. The SSI aims to secure future sourcing and stimulate economic growth in producing countries by sustainably transforming the sector. Together with other companies and NGOs, we participate in workstreams focusing on themes such as climate change and child labour mitigation. We chair the latter project group. As a main partner of a consortium of significant companies in the spice industry, we also support a child labour initiative in Vietnam.”
